Aluminium is weather-resistant and has a firm coating for extra-long lifespan.
Teak is a strong and weather-resistant strong hard wood that is widely applied in garden furniture, because of the natural oils maintained inside the teak for many years. The natural oils inside the teak and the density of the means that water is repelled from penetration of the overall exposed surfaces, However over time, the colour fades into a warm grey, becuase the UV sun rays burn the natural oils on the exposed surface, cuasing a subtle greyish colouring.
Now some pople love this distinct natural weathered teak look, as its unique greyish colouring speaks volumes about the quality and  expense of the  teak product. 
Then on the other hand, its warm natural fresh warm orange look is also desirable, and if kept out of direct sunlight would remain this colour indefinatly, but out in our garden with sun and dirt and rain, it has no way of maintaining its warm orange beauty.
